Stain and Finishes
Our finishers use commercial grade stains and spray application to provide the most even and consistent color. To ensure great durability, a high quality, catalyzed varnish is also applied. This varnish has greater adhesion, hardness, and abrasion resistance than standard lacquers. This finishing system not only protects the surface of the table, but soaks into the wood providing additional protection.
We realize that viewing stain samples online diminishes the accuracy of the colors. We provide free stain brochures with swatches that have been color-matched to our wood samples. If you prefer to choose from a palette of wood samples, we will send you a set for $30 and $5 for each additional set. This is a non-refundable fee and the stain samples need to be returned within 7 days of receiving them. Individual standard stain samples can be purchased for $10 each. Samples showing special finishing techniques are $20 per sample. Stain samples aren't always in stock, especially the special finishing technique samples. It could take up to a couple of weeks before they are able to be sent out.
Stains marked with an asterisk or Premium require a 6% up charge because it is a multi-step finishing process to obtain the even-toned look the stain has.
Custom Staining
If we do not have the color that best suits your needs, we also offer custom stain matching. Our finishers can typically match any color or finishing technique. The cost is $200 and you will need to provide us with a sample of what you desire to match. Once the finisher receives your sample it can take up to a month to create a match. A sample will then be made and sent to you for your verification.
