The finest Amish craftsmen from Northern Indiana have been chosen to provide you with the highest quality of Amish furniture. Every piece of furniture is constructed to retain its beauty for generations. Our furniture is built from solid hardwoods. In larger case pieces (hutches, dressers, etc) veneered plywood is utilized for the backs which minimizes cracking and/or warping that can result from humidity changes with a solid piece of wood.
Our Amish builders take pride in their work and build each piece of furniture to order so that you get a unique piece. This process usually takes about 3 months, including shipping, but we can assure you that it is worth the wait. For more information about our shipping process please refer to the Shipping Information section.
Our builders offer a variety of customizing options, such as wood type and stain color. Many of our builders work with five different main wood species: Red Oak, Cherry, Maple, Quarter Sawn White Oak and Brown Maple. Some of our pieces are also available in Hickory and Walnut. Our builders have also chosen a wide variety of finishes that will enhance the beauty of your furniture, see our Stains and Finishes section for more information.
To ensure the greatest stability our table leaves are 12” wide, unless specified differently. Tables that have wider leaves will have the leaf size noted in the description.
Furniture Building Process
Contrary to popular belief the entirety of your order isn’t built and finished by one builder. Our 30+ builders and finishers work as one community to produce an order. Each builder specializes in their individual craft and build specific pieces of the order. All the parts needed for the order are shipped to one builder who puts everything together and ships it to the finisher. All items in an order are shipped to the same finisher for a consistent look.
