Understanding Colors in Interior Design
Choosing the right colors for your home interior can be a daunting task, so understanding what types of emotions are felt when certain colors are present can help you in deciding what kinds of colors to use. All colors have positive and negative aspects to them and these can change dramatically based on which shades you use, but understanding the basics is a great place to start.
Red represents passion, heat, excitement, and love, so it’s the perfect color for the bedroom. It also creates feelings of hunger, so many restaurants use red to stimulate these feelings. However, use red sparingly in décor by painting just one wall rather than the entire room red.

Purple represents wealth, sophistication, royalty, and creativity, so using it in any room of the house can add a touch of class and a feeling of richness. It goes well in a bedroom, living room, or study.
